My Orderly Home is a small, independent project about one ordinary problem: knowing what you own, where you put it, and who has borrowed it.

Who makes it

My Orderly Home is built and run by Govind Bisht, based in India. It is a small, independent operation, which is worth saying plainly because it sets a fair expectation about how quickly things get answered and how quickly they change.

The quickest way to reach a human is email: support@myorderlyhome.com. There is also a Telegram channel, which tends to be faster for anything that looks like a bug.

What we make

Two things, and one of them you can use right now without installing anything.

• The printable label maker — a free tool that makes bin labels, box contents sheets and packing checklists. Eight paper sizes, 25 styles, no signup and no account. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type into it leaves your device.
• The My Orderly Home app — a photo-rich home inventory app for Android. It organises what you own by room, box and shelf, lets you add items in bulk from photos or by voice, tracks what you have lent out and to whom, and works offline.

The two are independent. You do not need the app, or an account for it, to use the label maker.

How your data is handled

The short version, with the details in the privacy policy:

• The label maker collects nothing at all. No account, no analytics, no tag manager, and no text sent to a server. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the internet and it still prints.
• Deleting your account starts a 30-day grace period in which you can still change your mind — tap Keep my account in the app — after which the data is permanently removed.
• You can export everything from inside the app as a ZIP file, at any time.

Two limits that are easy to miss, so they are stated here as well as in the policy: the app account is for adults aged 18 or over, and the app is not currently offered in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. Neither limit applies to the label maker, which has no account at all.

Why it is built this way

A home inventory is an unusually personal database. It is a list of what you own and where it is kept, which is exactly the list you would least like to leak. That shapes most of the decisions here: the label maker has no server to send anything to, and there is no analytics on it to quietly build a profile from.

The same instinct explains why the label maker prints onto ordinary paper with cut lines rather than aligning to branded peel-off label sheets. Cutting your own is slightly more work and needs no special stationery, which felt like the better trade for a tool people reach for once, in the middle of moving house.
